ROSA PARK, NEW ORLEANS, LA

While walking down St Charles Avenue a couple of days ago, I discovered a beautiful Rosa Park subdivision. It’s a little block that runs parallel Eleonore Street, and The Wedding Cake House is located right on the corner of St Charles Ave. and Rosa Park.
I was mesmerized by the gorgeous stately homes, manicured front yards, detailed architecture, columns and balconies. My photography might not be the best but I couldn't resist sharing the beauty with you.

There are no homes for sale here; I wish there were at least a couple so that I would be able to see how those beauties look inside. For now it’s up to my imagination to dream and hope… maybe one day I will have the honor to market and sell a home on Rosa Park, New Orleans, LA…

EASTER DINING

There are some great restaurant to consider going to for a fantastic Easter meal. Too many to mention in a blog.
Vega Tapas in Old Metairie is the one I'd like to mention today.  Here is what I got from them:

Holy Week... Spain Style!
Spain celebrates Easter Week much more than most European countries. During the whole of Semana Santa, (Holy Week), street processions are organized in most Spanish towns each evening, from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.
People carry statues of saints around on floats or wooden platforms, and an atmosphere of mourning - which can seem quite oppressive to onlookers - and the Easter week processions end with Easter Sunday, a day full of light and color when church and cathedral bells are heard ringing throughout the country.
Food plays a big role in these celebrations as well, particularly on Easter Sunday when families gather for fish, vegetable and dessert-filled feasts. Fish stews, typically made with cod, chickpeas and spinach, as well as garlic soup are traditional favorites.
A number of mouth-watering desserts are served including Arroz con leche, or rice pudding. Most bakeries during Holy Week offer the classic Torrijas, which is similar to French toast. Stale bread is soaked in milk and then dipped into eggs, then pan-fried in butter and topped with cinnamon, sugar and honey.
Hop into Vega this week to enjoy Chef Glen's version of these tasty delights...

EASTER IN NEW ORLEANS

The Easter Sunday in New Orleans is always marked by the flamboyance and fun-loving atmosphere of different parades, and all those parades have parties before and after that are open to the public.
The parade which will roll first is the Historic French Quarter Parade. It started by the daughter of Count Arnaud long ago. The Parade of carriages and convertibles will leave Arnaud's Restaurant at 10:30 a.m. It will roll down Bienville Street to Dauphine Street, Iberville Street, and Bourbon Street. It will then turn onto Toulouse Street to Royal Street. Participants will promenade in Jackson Square before attending the noon Mass at St. Louis Cathedral, after which they go back to Arnaud's.
Another popular and well attended event is the Chris Owens Easter Parade. The celebration starts at the Astor Crowne Hotel Ballroom at 11:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast, Hat Contest and entertainment. The parade rolls at 1 p.m. through the French Quarter.

TRANSFORMATION IN IRISH CHANNEL

I drove and walked around the Irish Channel yesterday. I do that every week, and the transformation is so expiring! This little cutie is one of the best one on the market at the moment. Wondering if it’ll last for a week or if it’ll be sold in one day.
